Back in January, a The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition listing appeared on a couple of European retailers. Shortly after the listings surfaced online, CDPR confirmed that there was no such edition of their popular role-playing game coming, but it seems like the team indeed had something in the works on the matter, judging from a recent rating.
Earlier today, a The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition rating has appeared on the USK website.
While The Witcher 3’s definitive edition is not labeled Enhanced Edition, the Game of the Year edition will ultimately be one as the patch released before the Blood and Wine expansion introduced a new menu system and plenty of other tweaks which vastly improved the whole experience. If you never played The Witcher 3 before, the Game of the Year edition will definitely be the best way to do so.
While it seems like the game won’t receive more official additional content in the future. PC players are able to enjoy a variety of unofficial additions thanks to mods. One of the latest mods released for The Witcher 3 allows players to use Metal Gear Solid V Snake’s Combat Armor, which comes with optional camouflage and a few more nice features.
The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the Game of the Year edition as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
