Capcom has confirmed to us through an email that the demo of Resident Evil 3 Remake will be available from March 19, that is, from this Thursday.
The Japanese company has followed in the footsteps of Resident Evil 2 Remake, a game that also had a demo, although quite limited since we could only play it once and had a time limit of one hour.
Despite everything, we decided to give it a try and published an analysis of the demo in due course. This gave us an idea of what we could expect at a technical and performance level, and if everything goes as planned we will do the same with the Resident Evil 3 Remake demo.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is, in my opinion, the best remake ever and one of the best games of 2019, and I have a hunch that Resident Evil 3 Remake will become one of the best games of 2020.
What PC do I need to play Resident Evil 3 Remake?
Capcom has used the RE Engine graphics engine, the same one we saw in Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 7, so if you were able to move both games you should have no problem enjoying Resident Evil 3 Remake, at least in theory, since it fits the possibility that the Japanese company has introduced new graphics options that are more demanding.
We recently saw the official minimum and recommended requirements that Capcom published to play Resident Evil 3 Remake, and as expected, they are very affordable. If we have a quad-core processor at the level of a Ryzen 3 1200 or a Core i5 2000 series, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 960 or Radeon R9 280 we can play in 1080p with medium-high qualities and total fluidity.
To play in 1080p with maximum quality without sacrificing good fluidity, you will need a quad-core, eight-wire processors, such as a Ryzen 5 1500 or Core i7 3770, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 of 6 GB or Radeon RX 480 8GB. I remind you that the RE Engine has a high degree of optimization, but it has a significant dependence on graphic memory, so it is advisable to have at least a 4 GB graphic.
Starting on March 27, we can also play the demo of Resident Evil Resistance, the multiplayer mode that will bring Resident Evil 3 Remake. It is scheduled for release on April 3 this year and will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
