Product warfare between companies no longer only focuses on mobile phones. The wearables, more specifically the smartwatches, are taking more and more prominence and some giants like Huawei release an improved version of this product every year.
At the beginning of 2015, the Chinese company presented its first smartwatch, the Huawei Watch to which the Huawei Watch 2 happened in 2017. It seems that the replacement of the latter, the Huawei Watch 2 (2018) is very close to seeing the light, but the first leaks point to a renewal without changes, at least in terms of hardware.
No news in sight
The well-known leaker, Evan Blass, has published in his Twitter account the specifications and the possible design of what would be Huawei’s new smartwatch, and as we advanced a few lines above, if the leaks were fulfilled, we would be facing a model without any change in the hardware.

Same screen, processor, autonomy, sensors, and connectivity, so the Huawei Watch 2 (2018) would be without NFC and consequently, without mobile payments, something that would leave him quite behind compared to his competition.
With this scenario we hope that the changes arrive in the software, Huawei Fit, that would work again on Android Wear 2.0.
We remind that this information is not definitive and that although it is a reliable source, we can not affirm that it is conclusive. Of course, if true, we would be facing a very little evolution and a step back from the competition, since the inclusion of mobile payments in wearables is becoming essential to the position in the market.
