Amazon Italy has listed by mistake Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, a game that in principle should follow the steps of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
As many of our readers remember Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered premiered in 2016 and came together with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, one of the less successful franchise deliveries to date.
Activision used the first as a “hook” to sell the second one since it started offering it in an indivisible pack, although in the end it was sold individually and today it is possible to buy it separately.
With this in mind we believe that you are likely to decide to follow the same path with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, that is, you could launch it this year in conjunction with Call of Duty: Black Ops III and keep it in exclusive pack format during a time. The goal would be very simple; give a boost to the sales of this new installment of the well-known war action franchise.
We will have to wait and see what happens in the coming months but at this point, it is important to remember that Activision itself recognized at the time that they had planned to launch more remastered games, so in general everything is quite clear.
The remastered editions of successful games of the past generation have become a very useful resource for many studios and distributors, who have not hesitated to take advantage of the pull of very beloved titles by giving them a second life after a “sheet and paint” session.
Do you think that approach is a good idea? What classic would you like to see remastered or remade with current graphics?
